A 52 t material handling machine is transported to Luxembourg
WASEL’s heavy load transport team recently faced the logistical challenge of transporting a brand-new Liebherr LH 60 material handling machine. The impressive machine measuring 12.6 x 4.6 x 4.1 metres and with a weight of 52 t had to be transported from the Liebherr production site in Kirchdorf Iller, Germany, to Esch Alzette in Luxembourg.
Travelling with a low-bed trailer and a total weight of 94 t
We mastered this challenge with our new 2+4 low loader from Faymonville. The overall weight of the loader and the material handling machine being transported was an impressive 94 t and therefore required precise route planning. The transport took place over two nights and required us to tackle the task of bringing the 4.60-metre-wide load safely to its destination via back roads and access roads.
