The energy company RWE regularly organises Safety Days in cooperation with its partner companies. The aim of these events is to offer safety officers in the open-pit mining sector the opportunity to see how their partners work and what risks and dangers they face. In the field of heavy-duty logistics, it is essential that potential risks are recognised and minimised at an early stage.
Yesterday, a Safety Day was held on the WASEL site and welcomed 35 RWE employees. At five different stations, WASEL employees provided the visitors from RWE with a practical insight into relevant issues. The stations focused on the topics of crane operation, an excavator simulator, a company presentation, personal protective equipment (PPE) for fall prevention, securing truck loads and blind spot awareness.
